Suzy completed her Physiotherapy undergraduate degree at Lincoln Institute in Melbourne. She went on to complete a Post Graduate Diploma qualification in Manipulative Therapy (Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy) at La Trobe University.
After graduating, Suzy has travelled extensively and worked in physiotherapy private practice in the UK and Canada. Upon returning to Australia, she opened and ran her own physiotherapy business in Port Melbourne for 9 years. While in her own private practice Suzy provided onsite physiotherapy services to local industry, namely Boeing and Kraft, and was involved in looking after the senior players in the Port Melbourne Football Club. In addition to working in private practice, Suzy worked as a Rehabilitation Consultant for the Department of Human Services, providing functional assessments and counsel to clients with complex needs.
For over 10 years Suzy has been involved on a volunteer basis in junior sports. Her roles have included being the physiotherapist/sports trainer for her son’s football club,
St Kilda City Junior Football Club and for her daughter’s representative basketball team, Melbourne Tigers.
Her passion for sports injury therapy and prevention stems from her own experience swimming at an elite level during her schooling years.
Suzy obtained her Pilates qualifications through Dance Medicine Australia and APPI. She utilizes her broad knowledge base as a platform to achieve the best results for all clients. With over 29 years of clinical physiotherapy experience Suzy is able to quickly and accurately diagnose conditions and develop management plans. Suzy’s approach to treatment is practical, relevant and fun. Her compassion, sense of humour, and high level of skill make her sessions enjoyable as well as highly effective.
Suzy is available for physiotherapy, running assessments, private and group Pilates sessions. She enjoyed treating a wide variety of clients, from adolescents to older clients, and has a special interest in complex spinal and musculoskeletal conditions, neurological and hip/pelvic girdle conditions.
