Katie completed her Bachelor of Applied Science/ Master in Physiotherapy with La Trobe University. Her interest in using pilates and strengthening techniques to obtain ideal alignment and improvement in overall health.
Katie developed her passion for musculoskeletal and sports Physiotherapy whilst training at a National level for Rowing followed by coaching young rowing athletes. This love for sports and the importance of rehabilitation to avoid injury lead her to find the benefits of Pilates, completing her diploma in Pilates training with an Accredited Pilates Alliance Australia. Katie has deepened this understanding to learn more about Scolio-Pilates methods.
Having grown up participating in sailing from a young age, Katie is in the process of being trained to aid the classification of para sailors with Australian Sailing allowing her to bring together a sports background to a neurological population.
Along with her passion for musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy, Katie found an interest in neurological and Women’s Health physiotherapy through her placements in the hospital.
Outside work, Katie enjoys going to the gym for her High Intensity Training and sailing on the weekend when the opportunity arises.
Katie is passionate about leading a healthy and active lifestyle, and would love to help her clients achieve their goals.
