Joh has 10 years experience working in the  field of Physiotherapy and mindful movement practices (Pilates & Yoga).

Joh has undergone extensive training in the ConnectTherapy™ and Thoracic Ring Approach™ traveling to Sydney, London and Canada to complete a 4 part series along with ConnectTherapy™ Practitioner Certification. Joh is currently the only Certified ConnectTherapy™ Practitioner in Melbourne.

ConnectTherapy™ is an innovative total body and hole person physiotherapy approach which involves a full body assessment to diagnose the key driving areas of a clients problem, rather than treating just the painful area. This means Joh can treat your cranium, Jaw, neck, back, shoulder, pelvis, hip, knee, foot & ankle.

The Thoracic Ring Approach™ is a technique created by LJ Lee that treats the upper back as a functional 3D unit, including techniques to release (sometimes un recognised) tension and regain optimal control and function of one of the biggest parts of the body – the trunk.

Joh is an assistant for LJ Lee’s courses when they run in Australia, this allows Joh to regularly update her skills, share her knowledge and continue to learn.

Joh completed the full rehab series with Polestar Pilates along with the mentor training and is now a Mentor for Polestar facilitating the teacher training courses in Melbourne.

Joh studied Yoga in India with a intensive teacher training at the Sivananda Ashram. She has also done additional training in Yoga Therapy with Simon Borg Olivier a world renowned Yoga Teacher and educator from Sydney.

Joh has completed many physiotherapy professional development courses over the past 10 years with the list getting too long for a bio. Joh uses manual/soft tissue therapy, dry needling, craniosacral therapy, motor control retraining, mindfulness, and exercise based rehabilitation in treatment sessions.

Joh’s specialty areas include chronic & complex pain, the upper back (thoracic spine and rib rage), mindful movement (yoga & pilates), holistic person centred care.

Joh is passionate about leading an active, happy, and meaningful life and loves helping her clients do the same. Joh is always trying something new  so when not at work you may find her rock climbing, SUP yoga, chakra dancing, ice bathing or walking her pup Zen down the beach.
