Ian originally studied Physiology and Health Science at Carlow Institute of Technology back in Ireland. Following on from this he received his Honours Degree in Physiotherapy from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2018. His passion for a career in Physiotherapy began from his interest in human body function and movement as well as the fact that he was very active and regularly partaking in various sports and experienced some injuries his own.
In addition to his degree, Ian has completed a number of courses including Pilates, Trigger Point Dry Needling, Sports Massage and Sports and Kinesiology Taping. He is a hands-on physiotherapist that likes to get to the root of the problem, treat the issue and then progress the rehabilitation through strengthening and pilates. He has worked with various sport teams in Ireland, Scotland and Canada.
Since receiving his Physiotherapy degree in 2018, Ian has worked in a private practice in Ireland for nearly 3 years before curiosity for travelling this side of the world got the better of him and moved to Melbourne in September 2021.
In his free time he likes to keep fit and busy by going to the gym, cycling, playing golf and regularly going for dips in the sea (even in the Melbourne winter!). He is looking forward to meeting and working with all his clients.
