       Pilates Instructors

Tania North
Tania began pilates in 1998, as a dance student and dance teacher, to rehabilitate a back injury. The success of her rehab and the improvement in her strength and body condition as a dancer led to her interest in Pilates as a profession. She began to teach in 2001, completing the Polestar Pilates Certification in Studio instruction in 2003. Tania also completed extra studies in anatomy and physiology, and the pelvic floor unit.

In 2006 Tania traveled to New York to teach at Reforming NY studio. She attended a variety of New York style pilates classes, returning to Australia with a different approach to pilates teaching and movement execution.

Tania has been trained and influenced by a variety of pilates instructors and methods, developing an individual style of teaching. She teaches from a movement perspective, working towards clients personal goals and strongly applying the pilates principles into their workout.

Her main strength lies in teaching the mat and allegro classes, attracting fitness based or low grade injury clients to work in groups, through a focused and intense pilates session. Her classes challenge strength, stamina, control and technique.

Vince DeSimone
Vince de Simone has worked in a variety of settings treating and managing musculoskeletal dysfunction. While still a student he worked alongside some fantastic osteopaths and physiotherapists treating AFL and VFL umpires. Other jobs have included the South Melbourne soccer club and the Dandenong Rangers women’s basketball team. Vince divides his time between clinical practice and being an educator at the Australian College of Sport’s Therapy and Southern School of Natural Therapies.

Vince’s approach to treatment addresses the broader picture of the interplay between posture and musculoskeletal dysfunction. He sees a unique opportunity offered at Dynamic Stability where clients may benefit from Pilates to address their particular postural anomalies which compliments his approach to treating musculoskeletal dysfunction with myotherapy. In this way the client is empowered by working with the practitioner and not relying on the practitioner to achieve pain-free movement. This makes for an ideal and intimate journey for the client and practitioner to achieve better health and easier movement.
